Transformation project in Fläsch, Switzerland
With Pr. Gion A. Caminada ETHZ

The project is located in the rural village of Fläsch (GR). The task of the studio is to transform an old barn into a multi-purpose hall.

Approach:
The approach is simple, almost archeological: all the stone structure of the old barn is preserved and supports a new roof, which is meant to shelter what stands below. The projected building works like an extension of the ourtdoor space, maintaining a direct relationship with the village.

Program:
A concrete element handles static and circulation and defines two spaces: a main hall and a reception/tea room with a small kitchen. The facilities are located in the basement.
