Housing competition in Bern, Switzerland
Architects: Christoph Schwander Architekten GmbH
Team: Christoph Schwander (author), Guillaume Stark
Landscape architects: Anton & Ghiggi Landschaftsarchitekten GmbH

The project lies in the North-West corner of Bruennen (Bern), in a housing neighbourhood characterised by the large scale of its buildings.

Urban form:
The shape of the building allows all 53 apartments to look onto the green landscape and clearly defines two streets on each side.

Program:
The ground floor is divided in 3 areas: commecrial use and ateliers in the left wing, a common room in the center and housing in the right wing. In the upper floors there are apartments of different sizes.

Outdoor spaces:
In front of the building, a belvedere adds a quality to the ensemble, the circular arrangements blend harmoniously into the topography of the site.
